ORVIS “99” BAMBOO FLY ROD 8’

 This is an Orvis model 99 rod, 8’, and 4 ¼ ounces on my scale.  The rod casts 5wt or 6wt lines, favoring a WF5 or a DT6.  Hallmarks of the 99 include the red wraps, the Super Z ferrules, and the green plastic cap on the tube.  The 99s were sold with one tip. This rod has an additional tip made by Orvis and serialized to the rod, #33563.  The original tip has one clear wrap between the third and forth guides and a second clear wrap ahead of the second guide.  The tip is sound and casts fine.   Comes with original bag and marked tube.  A previous owner engraved his name on the tube.
