HARDY ST. AIDEN LIGHTWEIGHT FLY REEL

The St. Aiden is a 7-8wt reel in Hardy’s Lightweight series, larger than the Princess, but smaller than the wide-spool Lightweights. Diameter is 3 5/8” and spool width is 1”.  Line capacity is adequate for an 8wt line with backing.  Like the other Lightweights, this reel is gear and pawl, duplicated Mark II checks, and adjustment on the rim.  It has the 2-screw NS line guard.  The reel is set up for right hand wind, but completely—and easily– reversible.  Condition is good, used, with finish on the spool and frame fine, but some finish issues on the back plate as shown.  Bushing is tight
