HARDY SALMON PERFECT, 3 ½” WIDE SPOOL, ENGLAND

Classic Hardy Salmon perfect with the rotating NS line guard and the ribbed brass foot.  This is a pre-war reel with the 3 pins on the winding plate and the circular writing.  It is marked as “duplicated Mark II check” but has a single pawl.  It has a mill finish inside and outside, with no evidence that a previous blued or enameled finish was removed.  There is a slight tweak in the grasp, and the rotating line guard does not rotate.  The 3 ½” Perfect is a splendid reel for salmon or steelhead with line capacity through 9wt.  Bushing is tight, check adjustment fine, and black composite grasp rotates freely.  With the line guard, right hand only.
