WHEATLEY 55-CLIP SALMON FLY BOX, 26 SALMON FLIES

Newer Wheatley with the “Richard Wheatley of England” logo on the front plus lozenge on the back.  Condition is excellent.  This box has 4 rows of the large clips, and 5 rows of seven clips.  This is a very useful configuration, accommodating large and medium flies.  The flies include some spectacular large feather-wing specimens, plus three doubles.  Condition of the flies is good, with one Durham Ranger showing some miles.  There are two Spruce Fly streamers, suggesting that the original owner may have been a West Coast steelhead fisher.  (box)
