RUSS PEAK 9’ FIBERGLASS FLY ROD

Classic California steelhead rod from the great years of the “Rivers of the Lost Coast.”  Marked on butt in black script:  “Russ Peak Rod #10905-6000 / 21 N. Allen Ave., Pasadena, 11/29/58 / 9’ 4 ¼ oz, 285-5115-2063-167C-285 / Custom built for / Rocky Simkins / 617 Santa Rosa Rd. / Arcadia, California.”  Cap and ring reel over cork, skeleton grip, hook keeper, nickel-silver Super-Z style ferrules, original bag with writing by owner and original Cal-Air tube.  Tip is shorter than butt but rod measures correct 107 5/8”.   The photo of the writing on the butt has been enhanced for better visibility.  Casts an 8wt. like a dream.
