SOLD R.L. WINSTON 8′ BAMBOO FLY ROD HOLLOW BUILT

This Winston rod was made in San Francisco by Doug Merrick.  A second tip was added by Glenn Brackett.  The rod weighs 4 ounces (as marked), and casts a 5wt.  The serial number is 7656.  The rod has an original uplocking reel seat on the correct San Francisco Winston black composite spacer.  This is very unusual for a Winston rod.  The two tips match well and both are numbered.  There is a 1” over-wrap by Winston on the original tip.  Great all-around trout rod for dry flies or sub-surface fishing.
