PFLUEGER “GOLDEN WEST” FLY REEL  400

Vintage Pflueger fly reel made from hard rubber, nickel silver, and aluminum.  Reel is marked on the foot as a 60 yard capacity.  The diameter is 2 ½”, spool with is 7/8”.  Should be good for a 4wt with some backing.  These reels were made with aluminum inserts into the hard rubber sideplates, resulting is a sturdy sandwich construction.  No cracks or splits in the sideplates, but some minor chipping on the bottom edges, as shown.  The check is robust, the spool spins freely, foot is intact, screw heads are good.  The back plate carries the number 6610.  Ready to go fishing.
