PERFECTION REEL CO. BEAVERKILL FLY REEL, UNUSED

This is a bench made raised pillar trout reel coming directly from Fred Balling’s shop in West Cornwall, Connecticut.  The reel is made with Delrin side plates, nickel silver pillars and crank, aluminum foot, naval brass axle, and aluminum spool.  Serial number is 016.   The overall diameter is 3” and the spool width is 1”.  Suitable for lines up to 5wt.  Very tastefully done, with crisp tooling and a minimum of decoration.  There is a simple band of knurling around the oil cap and around the counterweight on the handle.  Check has an on/off switch.  Comes with the correct cardboard box and burlap sack.
