ORVIS WES JORDAN BAMBOO FLY ROD

This is an 8’ 2-piece rod with 2 tips. It is 8’, weighs 4 3/8 ounces.  The serial number is 71693. The Wes Jordan rods were sold in a leather tube and fitted with a contoured cork grip. The rod is marked for an 8wt. line, but usually fished with a lighter line, although it will cast very well with an 8wt. Excellent rod for larger water, or still water. The rod features Orvis down-locking reel seat over walnut burl spacer, contoured cork grip, bent wire hook keeper, carboloy stripper, bright snakes, blued ferrules, original bag and tube. The condition of this rod is excellent minus, with cane, wraps, finish, and hardware all excellent. Ferrule fit is fine. There is some soiling on the cork, and bluing loss on the female guide. The stripping guide is compressed, but was wrapped onto the rod that way. The strap on the leather case has been replaced and fitted with an easy disconnect for airline travel.
