ORVIS “MANCHESTER” 7’6” BAMBOO FLY ROD, PATENT PENDING

This impregnated Orvis rod was made in the Orvis shop in1947 by Cal Skinner and John Rosencrantz. It was made before the patent on the impregnation process was granted. At 4.1 ounces, it is slightly heavier than the popular 3 7/8 ounce Battenkill rods. Great vintage piece ready to go fishing. All excellent original except for replacement wraps on the hook keeper and the female ferrule. Serial number is 4815. Probably best with a 5wt WF line or a 6wt DT.
