ORVIS BATTENKILL FLY REEL, BY J.W. YOUNG, ENGLAND

This is an Orvis Battenkill fly reel, with original vinyl zip case and extra spool.  Made for Orvis by J.EW. Young in England during the 1960a.   It measures 3 ¼” in diameter with a 5/8” width.  Suitable for lines up to 6wt; best with a 5wt in my estimation.  Very attractive reel with mill finish aluminum spool and foot, and gray enamel frame.  Line guide is bright.  Set up for RH, but easily changed to LH.  Comes with a good 5wt line.  Condition is excellent—no mechanical issues, no finish issues on frame, some light soiling on spools.
