ORVIS BATTENKILL BAMBOO FLY ROD, 8’ 4 3/8 OUNCES  

High condition Orvis Battenkill 2/2 rod, 8’ 4 3/8 oz, marked by Orvis for an 8wt.  Features down locking reel seat over hardwood spacer,  6 ½” cork, floppy ring hook keeper, Carboloy stripper, bright snakes, blued step-down ferrules, original bag and tube. Condition is exceptional.  Only evidence of use is on the reel seat spacer (as shown).  Cork is clean, guides are fine, wraps are all solid, ferrule fit is fine, and the Orvis impregnated finish is flawless.  This is an excellent rod for bass, light steelhead, big trout, or big water fishing where you need to bust out a lot of line and then mend like crazy to keep control.  The rod is marked for an 8wt.  Orvis rods are often fished one line size lighter than they are marked, but these 8’ 4 3/4oz Battenkill rods do remarkably well with an 8wt WFF.
