ORVIS BATTENKILL 8’ 3-PIECE BAMBOO FLY ROD   $500

This is an 8’ 3-piece Battenkill, serial number 3500. It weighs 4 5/8 ounces on my scale; ferrules are 16/64” and 10/64”   The rod is not marked for line weight, but it does well with a 5wt. or a 6wt. The rod is in excellent condition, with some wear on the reel seat hardware. It could have been re-wrapped at some point. The writing on the shaft may not be in the original hand. The rod features a down-locking reel seat over walnut spacer, 6” cork grip, bent-wire hook keeper, blued Mildrum stripper, blued NS ferrules, blued steel snakes, original bag and tube. Excellent rod for all around trout work.
