ORVIS 8’ BATTENKILL BAMBOO FLY ROD, 4 3/8 oz.

Very high condition Orvis Battenkill, SN 54684.  Judging from the reel seat spacer, the finish, the bluing on the ferrules, and the guides, this rod has seen very little use.  The wraps and hardware are fine, cork is unblemished, cane work has crisp node alignment and good seams, and ferrule fit is great.  Rod is marked by Orvis for a GBF 8wt line.  Many people fish Battenkills with lines lighter than those marked.  This rod fishes a 7wt or an 8wt, but is underlined with a 6wt in my estimation.  Great rod for big water, bass, light steelhead, or still water demanding long casts
