ORVIS 7’6” “ONE WEIGHT” GRAPHITE FLY ROD

Orvis graphite 2-piece, 1-tip rod, weighing 1 3/8 ounces and marked for a 1wt. line.  Serial number 0388.  This rod was made with a longer version (5 ½”) of the Superfine grip and the Superfine reel seat with rings.  There is no winding check or hook keeper.  It has maroon wraps, a Fuji-style stripper, and bright snake guides.  The ferrule is tip-over.  It comes with original bag and tube. Condition is excellent.

The “One Weight” model is definitely a specialist’s rod—intended for the most delicate of presentations with tiny flies, to spooky trout.   I have a Hardy Flyweight reel spooled with 1wt line which would be a nice match for the rod.
