ORVIS 7’6” BATTENKILL BAMBOO FLY ROD

This impregnated Orvis Battenkill is a high-condition example of one of Orvis’ most successful 7’6” rod configurations–two piece, two tip, weighing 3 7/8 ounces. The rod is marked for a 6wt, but usually fished with a 5wt, following the rule of the thumb that Orvis rods fish one line size lighter than they are marked. Serial number is 78695. Rod features down-locking reel seat over walnut, 5 1/2” cork, floppy ring hook keeper, Carboloy stripper, bright snakes, blued ferrules, original bag and tube. Condition of all components is excellent. The Orvis impregnated finish is flawless. The 7’6” Battenkill is a comfortable rod to fish all day, and is well suited to dry fly work, nymphs, or traditional wet flies.
