ORVIS 7’6” BATTENKILL BAMBOO FLY ROD

This rod is a variation on the familiar Orvis 7’6” 2/2 Battenkill. Probably made in the 1980s, the rod weighs 4 ounces, and features light colored cane with distinct Resorcinol glue lines and gold translucent wraps tipped tan. It has an oversize carboloy stripper, regular blued Orvis ferrules, a nifty brown bag with images of trout and quail, and a black tube with a unique label. It has a downlocking reel seat over hardwood burl, and a 6 ½” cork grip. Serial number is 86841.
