ORIGINAL OPTIC STEELHEAD FLY TIED BY PETER SCHWAB    $35

Jim Pray developed this famous steelhead pattern in the 1940s for the northern California steelhead streams.  See Mike Valla, Founding Flies, p.231.  Pray worked closely with Peter Schwab, well-known fishing writer, who tied this fly. They fished together on the Eel, Klamath and other northern California rivers.  Authentication by Trey Combs, provenance from the Peter Schwab estate, Gary Waller collection. The fly is red and yellow, with a silver body and the distinctive optic head.  Condition is excellent.
