MARRYAT 8a FLY REEL AND EXTRA SPOOL

The Marryat reels were designed and first made by George Gehrke in Colorado and later in eastern Washington.  They were later made in Japan and still later in Switzerland.  The reels incorporate a frameless design with an adjustable brake and a check system operating like an over-running clutch.  The result is a smooth, lightweight, and reliable reel that has maintained a steady following over the years.  Often seen in a copper color, they are also anodized in gold and black.  This is an excellent 6wt reel, capable of a 7wt line.  Since extra spools are hard to find, I am pleased to be able to include one.  Set up for left hand wind.
