Superb pre-fire Leonard model 50 1/2. This is the light 8′ 6″ rod with 16/64″ ferrules on the butt and 10/64″ ferrules on the tips. Probably made during the 1950s. All original with butternut reel seat spacer, floppy-ring hook keeper, Perfection stripper, blued English-twist snakes, marked Perfection tip-tops. Original tube and bag with hanging tag. Condition is excellent with finish losses on the reel seat spacer from bug spray, as shown. The 50 1/2 was a light 8′ 6″ rod based on the model 50. It casts a lighter line than the other 8′ 6″ Leonard models—the Leonard 51 or the Leonard 4099 1/2. Try it with a 5wt DT.
