 Gorgeous JVH 5/0 salmon reel, nickel silver and ebonite.  There is no retailer’s name on this reel, just The Julius Vom Hofe cartouche and the Oct. 20, 1903 patent date on the back side plate.  Diameter is 4 ¼” and spool width is just under 2.”  Reel has spider washer behind oil cap, on/off click, and a lever-actuated drag.  The handle unscrews, and the full length foot has the customary hole in it.   There is a little side play on the spool which can be removed easily enough if you want to fish it. Robust click and very effective drag.  One of the best JVH salmon reel models, I think.
