Here is a beautiful Heddon 7’6” two-piece, two-tip Model 17 Black Beauty Featherweight in superb all-original condition. The rod weighs 3 ¼ ounces as marked, and has a Heddon #03/4 ferrule, which measures 13/64”. Rod features down-locking reel seat over back Pyralin spacer, 5” cork, floppy ring hook keeper, black silk tipped orange, bronzed Perfection stripper, bronzed snakes, black finished ferrules, original marked bag and original marked tube. The condition of this rod is exceptional, with the composite spacer perfect, the cork fine, all wraps and hardware fine, ferrule fit fine, and all cane straight and full length. There are no repairs or re-wraps anywhere on the rod. It is very unusual to find Heddon cane rods with clear, firm original varnish. This rod casts a 4wt or a 5wt line very well indeed.
