HEDDON 7’ MODEL 14 BAMBOO FLY ROD

This is a Heddon 14 in an unusual 7’ 2-piece, 2-tip configuration. All original excellent condition, with very modest evidence of fishing use. The rod is ready for the stream. The writing on the butt and on the bag label shows this rod as a model 14 with a weight of 3 ½ ounces and a 0 ½ ferrule size. This translates to a 12/64” ferrule. Rod features downlocking aluminum reel seat over cedar spacer, 5” cork grip, floppy ring hook keeper, red silk tipped black, Perfection stripper, blued steel snakes, black ferrules, original marked bag and fiber tube. Marked HEH for a double taper 5wt line; I would try a 4wt first. The hardware (ferrules, guides, reel seat) are all excellent. Wraps and guides are fine, ferrule fit is excellent, finish is clean. The cork has been cleaned with no ridging. The finish is firm and shows no sign of melting or running. All in all, a hard to find rod in remarkable condition.
