HEDDON #17 BLACK BEAUTY 8’     $400

Fine Heddon 3-piece, 2-tip Black Beauty, 8’, weighing 4 ounces as built, and marked for a 6wt DT line or a 5wt. level line. Ferrules are Heddon number 1 ¾, which translates to 17 and 10.5 in 64ths. Condition is fine with original wraps and finish excellent. The original plastic reel seat was replaced with a Struble mahogany spacer, close to the color of the maroon plastic. The original agatine stripper was replaced with a conventional Mildrum-style guide. Cork is 6”, floppy ring hook keeper, blackened NS ferrules, steel snake guides, original bag with tag and original lube with label. This is a great rod to fish and has reasonable updates while maintaining original character.
