HARDY SALMON PERFECT FLY REEL, 3 ¾”, ENGLAND

Here is a post-war salmon Perfect, 3 ¾”, probably from the 1960s.  It has the aluminum foot, the wide spool, and the drum-retaining screw.  The reel was made without the line guard, so it can be used left-handed or right-handed.  Comes with the Hardy Selvyt bag, as issued.  Condition of this reel is excellent, with minor finish loss on the winding plate (as shown), and on the bottom rims.  Bushing is rock solid.  Checks are fine, and the check adjustment screw turns freely.  This is a favorite among Spey fishers.  Hardy Perfects were first made in the 1890s and are still a top choice among discerning anglers.
