HARDY “PERFECT” FLY REEL, 3 3/8”, PRE-WAR, ENGLAND 

Fine, mellow 1930s Perfect, made without a line guard, so a candidate for left hand wind.  The frame and spool have some leaded finish remaining, but the winding plate is dull aluminum.  I do not believe it had the finish removed, because the writing is very crisp.  Could be wear or perhaps made that way.  The maker was Wilf Sinton (W.S.), who worked at Hardy from 1929-1939.  Condition is fine, with tight bushing, good check adjusting screw, intact brass ribbed foot, black grasp.  There is a name scratched lightly on the bottom of the foot, and on the inside of the winding plate, not apparent.
