HARDY “PERFECT” FLY REEL 3 ¼” WIDE SPOOL

The Perfect in the 3 ¼” size is highly regarded as an 8wt reel for steelhead and large trout.  This is a pre-war example, with the circular writing on the winding plate, ribbed brass foot, and duplicated Mark II check.  The reel was made without a line guard, so it could be used left handed, but it was not made with a drum retaining screw.  Condition is fine with bushing tight, check adjustment screw smooth, foot tight, no cracks or deep valleys in frame.  The leaded finish shows an even patina appropriate to its age.
