Frank B. Wire was an Oregon rodmaker active during the 1930s and 1940s, and into the 1950s.  His total production is estimated at less than 200 rods, all made as gifts to his business and political friends.  I have a portfolio of biographical material that goes with the rod.  He was known as an individualistic rod maker, hand planning his own tapers, and building only pentagonal rods.  His rods are quite quick, and fun to cast.  Condition of this rod is excellent original.  The bag is original, I believe, and the Peerless tube is probably not original
