E.C. POWELL 9’ BAMBOO FLY ROD

This is an EC Powell 9’, with an excellent restoration by Steve Blake. Finish is light oil on the cane with the silk finished with varnish, as original. Casts a 6wt or a 7wt with deep flexing and powerful feel. Weight is 4.8 ounces on my scale, ferrules are 17/64”. Has the white tipping and the patent number for a hollow built rod . Features marked Powell reel seat over black spacer, 6’ full Wells grip, hook keeper, agate stripper, bronzed snakes, tip-tops wrapped over. Original tube and replacement bag. The condition is excellent restored with cork un-cleaned and showing some chipping at the bottom, as shown. Ready to fish for another 100 years.
