DON SCHROEDER 7’6” BAMBOO ROD FOR A 4wt

This is a 2-piece, 2-tip rod with a progressive taper, SN 51009, built in 2009.  The cane is lightly flamed and assembled with a 2 x 2 node pattern and book-matched tips.  The reel seat is blackened cap and ring over a hardwood spacer, cork is 6.”  It has floppy ring hook keeper, tan translucent silk, Mildrum style stripper, darkened snake guides, blued ferrule with plug, delicate tips, original bag (with stiffener) and brass capped tube.  The taper offers a moderate swell at the butt.

Condition of this rod is great.  The reel seat spacer shows no evidence of use.  Cork is clean, hardware, ferrules, and guides are all like new.  The finish is glassy smooth.  Excellent and versatile rod by one of the very best contemporary makers.
