BATTENKILL BAR STOCK II FLY REEL, BOX AND CASE, ENGLAND

 Probably made by BFR in England and set up for left-hand wind, this is a fine reel for a 4wt or 3wt line.  This reel is a logical extension of Orvis’s popular Battenkill reel series, now made from bar stock aluminum, and equipped with a disk drag, but still based on the frameless design pioneered by Stanley Bogdan.  The frame is the ‘titanium” color, and the spool and foot are black.  Drag adjustment knob is large enough for cold fingers.  The case is Orvis’s well-known vinyl zip case, and the stock box has been defaced by an over-zealous salesman.  Condition of the reel is excellent plus with one slight bump on the back rim.  The reel comes with a good sink-tip 4wt line.
