ABERCROMBIE & FITCH “FIREHOLE” DRY FLY SPECIAL  BAMBOO FLY ROD

 This is a 3-piece, 2-tip, impregnated rod made for A&F by Phillipson, 8’6” marked for a 6wt line.  The rod weighs 5 ½ ounces as marked.  Ferrules are 18/64” and 12/64”.  This is a powerful rod well-suited to big Rocky Mountain or Western rivers.  Bill Phillipson used the “Dry Fly Special” designation on both conventional and impregnated rods that were intended to be crisp and quick for large, fluffy dries.  The rod features the trademark Phillipson “No-rok” anodized down-locking reel seat, 6 ½” cork grip, bent-wire hook keeper, Resorcinol glue, 3-up node spacing, Mildrum stripper, bright snakes, copper colored wraps with open spiral yellow tipping, Phillipson NS ferrules, original bag and tube.  Condition is excellent with cane. cork, finish, and hardware all fine.
