Superb three-piece, two-tip trout rod displaying Gary’s exceptional skills in cane and metalwork.  Rod weighs 3.8 ounces on my scale.  Ferrules are 15/64” and 10/64”.  Casts a 4wt with precision and punch.  Great dry fly rod—light in the hand and quick.  The shop-made metalwork includes the reel seat, the winding check, the agate stripping guide, and the ferrules.

Features cap and ring reelseat over hardwood burl spacer, 5 ½” cork, Thomas style hook keeper, gold and red silk, full intermediates, agate stripping guide, bronzed snake guides, shop-built step-down ferrules, shop-built tip-tops, original bag and tube.  Condition is excellent plus with all elements like new.  Minimal evidence of use—slight soiling on cork, no reel marks on reel seat spacer.
