ORVIS 8’ BATTENKILL BAMBOO FLY ROD

This impregnated Orvis Battenkill is a two piece, two tip, weighing 4 3/8 ounces. The rod is marked for an 8wt, but usually fished with a lighter line, following the rule of the thumb that Orvis rods fish one line size lighter than they are marked. Serial number is 72529. Rod features down-locking reel seat over walnut, 6 1/2” cork, floppy ring hook keeper, Carboloy stripper, bright snakes, blued ferrules, original bag and tube. Condition is excellent. Full provenance on this rod is available on request. The original owner was Mary Keefauver Kelly, noted author of fly fishing materials.
