ORIGINAL OPTIC STEELHEAD FLY TIED BY PETER SCHWAB    $25

Jim Pray developed this pattern during the 1940s for the northern California steelhead streams.  Pray worked closely with Peter Schwab, well-known fishing writer, who tied this fly.  Together, they fished the Eel, Klamath, and other “rivers of the lost coast.” See Mike Valla, Founding Flies, p.231. Authentication by Trey Combs, provenance from the Peter Schwab estate, Gary Waller collection. The fly is black and yellow, with a silver body and the distinctive optic head.  Condition is unused with typical chipping of the paint on the metal head.
