Doug Kulick made this rod in 1999. It is hand-planed, flamed, fitted with Super Z style ferrules, and nickel-silver sliding band reel seat over a hardwood spacer. The two cork rings under the thumb are composite to reduce wear. Made as a one-tip rod, as evidenced by the bag. Comes with original marked bag and tube.

Visit the “Klassic Kane” website for information and current pricing. The rod is marked for a 3wt., and casts a 3wt or 4wt equally well. Loads well with a short line and casts a long line with ease. Firm rod with plenty of reserve power. The tip is ½” shorter than the butt, but shows no evidence or repair or re-wrapping. Beyond that, the rod is excellent—in fact, immaculate. Cane is fine and straight. The finish is bright. All guides and wraps are fine, cork shows minor evidence of use. Ferrules and tight and firm. The hand planning is apparent—you can feel the nodes. I believe that is intentional.
